Engaging Through Story Kit

This kit offers evangelistic training, through Engaging Through Story, based on a simple four-story approach that enables believers to more easily share their faith and an understanding of the gospel.

It also provides unbelievers with the opportunity to discover the difference that Jesus can make in their lives through the use of the More to Life DVDs and Discover More to Life.

The Engaging Through Story Kit consists of:

•	Engaging Through Story (includes DVD and one Member Book)
•	More to Life Outreach DVD (US version)
•	Discover More to Life (includes DVD and one journal)

Engaging Through Story features:

Practical, flexible and easy to deliver, Engaging Through Story contains six easy-to-run sessions that will help all believers to gain the confidence and desire to share their faith with others.

Each session consists of:

•	brief teaching on DVD delivered by Dennis Pethers.
•	helpful questions for discussion.
•	activities that will help believers to engage with the materials and gain the confidence and passion to share Jesus with their lost friends and neighbours.

Each person attending the sessions will receive a ‘Member Book’ containing space for them to record key things that are learning and to reflect in private.

The sessions:

1.	Causing Heaven to Rejoice Encourages believers to see the motivation for evangelism as bringing joy to God. They can share his passion and joy as lost people come to know Jesus.
2.	Discovering the ‘Far From God’ People Around You Helps believers to identify people that they know who are ‘far from God’ but close to them. This session helps them to see how they can reach them, by using the four-story approach to evangelism.
3.	Engaging and Giving Away My Faith Helps believers to become familiar with the content of the give-away DVD and become confident in giving it to an unbeliever to begin a conversation.
4.	Talking About My Own Story Helps believers to know and tell the story of the difference that Jesus is making in their lives in a way that will cause an unbeliever to become interested in finding out more about Jesus.
5.	How to Hear Their Story Helps believers to understand the importance of listening in faith sharing The need to get to know the person and what they believe is underlined as well as suggesting helpful ways of listening.
6.	Telling His Story Helps believers to tell the story of Jesus, the gospel, through the dialogue that is now taking place. This session also introduces ‘Discover More to Life’ as a key opportunity for an unbeliever to discover the truth about Jesus and his relevance to their lives.
