Ideas for how to use the give-away DVDs

With Christmas fast approaching there are so many ways that you could use the More to Christmas Card and DVD . Here are '12 ideas for Christmas’!

1. Put on a carol service in the high street or neighbourhood and give away mince pies, mulled wine and a DVD.

2. Put on a Christmas lunch for your Mums and Toddlers group and give a DVD to each parent.

3. Put on a carol service at a local old people’s home(s) and offer free DVDs.

4. Put on a carol service in the local prison and offer free DVDs.

5. Put on a children’s nativity play at your church and give away DVDs to every guest.

6. Give the DVD to all guests that attend your Christmas services, you could create a special event and give the DVD to guests.

7. Send a basket of food/wine, etc, to local services (fire, police, council, ambulance etc) thanking them for their work within the community. Invite them to the Christmas service and put some free DVDs into the basket.

8. Put on a carol service in your local pub and offer free DVDs.

9. Any club or society that your church runs, give all attendees a free DVD this Christmas.

10. Talk to the local council about the most deprived areas of your town; put together a Christmas food parcel for those people along with a DVD and an invite to a Christmas service.

As well as organised church activities you could encourage people from your church to:

11. Give the DVD to a colleague at work and invite them to a Christmas service.

12. Give the DVD to a friend/neighbour/family member or children’s teacher as a Christmas gift.

These ideas are all based upon actual ways that churches have reached out to their local community using More to Life DVDs.

Please feel free to use and adapt any of these ideas to suit your situation – you could also come up with new ideas...
