More to Life is an ideal event for Christians to invite and bring friends to who are not used to church. The production helps people who are not necessarily familiar with the Christian faith to grasp the real message of Jesus and its relevance to their lives today in a non-threatening way. It entertains, amuses and powerfully conveys the message.
At the close of the evening offering a discovery course is an ideal way to allow those who have attended to explore Christianity further.
More to Life is hosted by one of the Viz-A-Viz Ministries evangelists, Dennis Pethers or Mike Simmonds and performed by Envizage Theatre Company. It is a multimedia presentation including professionally produced visual material.
More to Life begins by encouraging the audience to consider whether life is a fortunate accident or a precious gift. By examining the meaning of life, faith in Jesus is presented as the way of discovering purpose for living.
During the event, Envizage Theatre Company perform 'Jessica's Story', a three part drama during which Jessica starts life, falls in love, marries and eventually loses her father. This drama helps the audience to reflect upon their own lives, to think about what is important and to consider the purpose of life. Throughout the presentation a number of stories are retold by the presenter. Humour and thought-provoking visual media, including film extracts, help the audience to see that more to life can be found in a relationship with Jesus.
There is an opportunity given to respond through offering a More to Life discovery course, More to Life DVD’s and magazines.
The event lasts for one hour forty minutes with a short five minute interval to enable set changes. We recommend that refreshments are served at the end, giving opportunity for the team to engage in conversation with those in the audience who have questions about what they have seen.
