Training Sessions - Session 5

A message to explain

This session should last approximately 1 hours and 30 minutes.

It is important that Christians are prepared to explain the gospel and lead a person to commitment should this situation arise.

In the previous session participants were helped to tell the FIRST STORY in the Four Story Approach to Evangelism. In this session they will be helped to: TELL MY STORY, HEAR THEIR STORY; and begin to TELL HIS STORY. It should be stressed that this may well happen over a period of time in relationship with the person concerned.

Aim of this session:

To help participants build on sharing their faith naturally and equip them to:

  1. Have the confidence to present the gospel to another person.
  2. Acquire the necessary skills in doing this effectively.
  3. Use helpful materials – e.g. the gospel presentation leaflet and/or More to Life magazine (UK only)

Things you will need for this training session:

  1. A Message to Explain Downloadable PowerPoint presentation
  2. Data projector linked to a (laptop) computer and PA system
  3. A Message to Explain Training Session PDF
  4. The downloadable Video Clips provided
  5. Downloadable Gospel Presentation Leaflet
  6. Flip chart (if you wish to record feedback visually)
  7. Pens and paper for each person
  8. Bible
